After Life is a hauntingly beautiful and thought-provoking new play that dares to explore the great unknown. In a series of 7 mini vignettes, each of our unique characters have just taken their final breaths—each under vastly different and deeply personal circumstances—they awaken in a realm beyond the physical, where time bends, truth reveals itself, and the rules of existence are uncovered.
What unfolds is a tapestry of stories that span generations, backgrounds, and beliefs. The contrast in age, cause of death, and life experience among the newly departed creates profound layers of meaning, raising timeless questions about purpose, regret, connection, and healing. Guided by the echoes of those they loved and/or crossed paths with in life, each character is drawn into moments of revelation, reconciliation, and grace… or are they?
