The Moors by Jen Silverman, follows two spinster sisters, their duplicitous maid, and their introspective dog who live in isolation on the bleak English moors, yearning for love and power. That is, until the arrival of a hapless governess and serious-minded moor-hen set them all on a strange and treacherous path.
