Setting: the Glory Day Residence and Psychiatric Clinic, current time.
Historical Note: John Brown, a fervent Christian already famous as an abolitionist for having helped “bleeding Kansas” to enter the Union as “a free state,” decides to raid the U.S. Armory in Harpers Ferry in what was then the state of Virgina in October, 1859, two years before the beginning of the Civil War, and to distribute the arms taken there to the Enslaved in the hope of inciting a rebellion and putting an end to slavery in the United States. But….
