Logline: Drawing parallels to Anne Frank’s story, The Diary of Ana Fernandez portrays the struggles of a young, undocumented girl and her father as they navigate fear, separation, and resilience amidst the threat of deportation.
A Brief Synopsis: Ana Fernandez, a bright and resilient 14-year old undocumented girl,is forced into hiding with the help of her compassionate teacher when immigration agents begin targeting students at her school. Drawing inspiration from Anne Frank’s diary, Ana documents her fears, hopes and daily struggles as she and her father attempt to evade deportation.
There is one ten-minute intermission
